The Musical Arts Youth Orchestra, with support from the Women’s Philharmonic Advocacy Project, commissioned Denisch to write for string orchestra and percussion. The composition, “Fisherman’s Bay,” will be premiered on December 9, 2016 in Bloomington, Indiana, USA. Inspired by the MAYO performers and Fisherman’s Bay (photo above) in Swampscott, MA, USA.

Sarah Pelletier, soprano, premiered Denisch’s setting of “Why – do they shut Me out of Heaven?” by Emily Dickinson. Commissioned by Berklee College of Music, performance April 4, 2016, Boston, with Lois Shapiro, piano. Berklee commissioned three composers to set the same Dickinson poem as part of the 2016 Words and Music Festival, April 4-6,
